For so many times in the past, I have heard several people in the university accusing The NORSUnian of being bias to one party or another. For many times I have heard of people who keeps on saying that the publication should publish this and that. For many times I have heard of the countless complainers grumbling about a lot of things that does not satisfy them.
And for the many times that I have heard of all this, I can count in one finger the number of times we published something regarding their complaints. Why? Is the publication really protecting somebody then?
The answer would be a firm “NO”. The NORSUnian is not protecting anybody or is it bias to anybody.
As much as we would like to cater to everybody’s complaints, we can only do so if the people concerned would cooperate. The problem always lies in the reluctance of people to speak out and stand by their statements. The problem is that, there are a lot of complainers but very few would want to have their names published or even just stand for what ever it is they are complaining about.
The publication has always had the policy of “no anonymity” which restricts us from publishing articles with no clear source—aside of course if the story is of really confidential nature which could possibly harm the source. Anonymity questions the credibility of the source, the report and of course the publication. Besides, why hide your identity if you know that you are telling the truth?
If you know that what you are doing is right then stand by it. Don't hide.

I had been saying again and again that the publication is a STUDENT PUBLICATION and not a university publication.
Why can't some people understand that unless they win in the bidding they could not print the paper? Are they stupid or what?

We don't need the publicity really. The NORSUnian is for the student's of NORSU and not for the whole province of Negros Oriental. Besides, we too have the website. In fact, our website is better than what is being offered.
